I have learned how to calm the mind and not feel as angry or tired at the end of the day. I came in not knowing what to expect however the experience was great in all aspects. The body and mind feel calmer and lighter. I used to feel overstressed and anger in my chest. It has slowly released. Food was amazing, wish I could take it all home.

My meditation has deepened significantly. I can watch my body and mind in a more clear way. I learned I cannot control things in the outside world and I have to be patient. I found it tough but not so difficult to be impossible. First 3 days, excitement fueled me. Then next 3 days were difficult. The last 4 days I got more peace but also more boredom from the monotony of daily life. I am less attached to my thoughts, more clarity of mind and peace, more calm, better ability to de-stress and stay calm. I can see laziness more clearly now.

I learned insight meditation and discovered the separation of body, knower mind and thoughts. I experienced the internal and external phenomena as impermanent which I found to be freeing, finally. I learned so much more about Vipassana including the Four Noble Truths, Paramis and Eight-Fold Path. Understanding the different types of meditation leading to Jhana or Vipassana was very helpful and I am much further along my path of understanding. I also got a lot out of the participating chanting. It has really inspired me to continue on the path of insight meditation. Personal experience : not always easy, but overall excellent!

The course was helpful to me. I have tried other meditation traditions and this was much better. I was a little worried that it would be too hard for me but Ajarn Willie was very encouraging and helpful to me. My overall experience was very profound. I still have much more practice to do but yes, I am feeling more peaceful. I have many family responsibility but I do think I will return in the future. It has been a very positive experience for me.

A full introduction to Dhamma was great. Explanations and assignments were very valuable and the meditation technique is very applicable for daily life.
